If you intend to spend lots of time in it, reloading, drinking beer or storing stuff, etc, lots and lots of insulation!

My tool room is lined out, walls, ceiling and door with aluminum sheet, backed with 6" or so of insulation foam. Using a 3kw fan heater on the lowest setting the thermostat switches it off after 15 minutes or so and then it's T shirt time. Takes ages before it switches on again too. ;)

Insulation panels were all stripped from a disused industrial freezer room and cost nought!

I like this idea! - any suggestions for companies - not looked at this before?
If it has a trigger I'm gonna enjoy it!

If you're going to have a man cave, have a big one:

It's a bit drafty though, so I have an insulated shipping container fitted out for other stuff.

Getting back to the shed/man cave thread, mine backs onto my double garage with a door, that aligns with the rear garage door. The other door is only a few feet from the kitchen for cups of tea. A good secretarial chair for comfort, a heater, good light, quality vice and all my tools, what more could you ask? As someone else said on here, the trouble is you always want more space.
Mine is here. http://www.urbanfieldsportsman.com/inde ... n-rabbits/
