A few weeks ago, left to my own devices, (Wife away) it came time to prepare dinner. Looking in the refrig there was some venison fillet which needed using up!
Having had a few glasses of wine I fancied myself as a bit of a galloping gourmet and decided to experiment.
I put on some spuds to boil for mash and a few carrots. As they were boiling I cut and seasoned the venison fillet and put the frying pan on to heat up.
Splash of oil in the pan and fried the staeks just as I liked them. I put them to one side and went into Galloping Gourmet mode.
I deglazed the pan with some red wine and reduced it before adding a tablespoon of Bramble Jelly (Sainsbury's).Stirred it all together until I had a sauce.
I can honestly say that I was amazed at how well it worked! I really enjoyed the sweetness of the sauce over the venison and it will now become a regular!
Its so simple ! Try it!
I think you'll enjoy it ,if not, try HP instaed of LVP!
