New to UK, active shooter who wants to get involved again

Postby ozgrunt » Thu Jul 07, 2016 1:49 am

Hi all,
I am an Australian who now lives over here in the Speke area of Liverpool.
I've been here about six months now and am missing my sport.
Had my heart broken when I had to sell my firearms before leaving Australia but that's the way it goes.
I have been around firearms for most of my life and have shot in a variety of disciplines, hunted etc.
and served in the Australian Army for a few years.
Still wrapping my head around how to get back into etc.

Nice to meet you.
My only regret would be if something happened to me and the missus sold my firearms for what I told her I paid for them.

Hi Oz..

I'm in Southport but lived in Liverpool for ages. Member of a local club (Google 'Fulwood Shooting Club'). Not sure if they are open for new members at the moment but I can find out for you. You could also check out 'Lancashire Fieldsports' on Facebook, they take in a very large geographical area. PM me if you need any more info.

Oh and welcome to the asylum... lol :bh: :cheese:

Hi .... welcome to FBUK!

Warrington & District Rifle and Pistol Club is probably one of the largest clubs in the NW. They have their own indoor gallery ranges, and have several fullbore shooting meets at Altcar and Sealand. PM me for details if you're interested.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, looks like you have a friendly, open community which is fantastic.
I will pm the guys who offered a chat, much appreciated.
I used to love getting people back home involved in the sport and even took a few mates out hunting who had never
shot before, so good to be on the other side of it and see it reciprocated.
My only regret would be if something happened to me and the missus sold my firearms for what I told her I paid for them.
