Ireland

Well I'm off to Ireland tomorrow. The fishing isn't what it used to be  A lot of the bream have been netted and devoured by our immigrant friends :kill: :kill:
My best catch was on my 18th birthday, 180+ lb of bream in 5 hours  . I woke up in a pool of black vomit with my feet on the pillow with a lot to learn about the joys of alcohol :thdn: I was set up hook line and sinker

It will never be the same, but I don't care. It's just a great place to be without carp and commercial fisheries :)

Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those timid spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat !

Thanks chaps :)
Just to report-As expected the big bream bags are gone (I'm still trying to relive my youth) but good weights of hybrid, roach and perch are there for the taking if you put the effort in  I have learnt a lot this last week. Seriously considering (being bullied into) entering the Irish Festivals next year :worried:
