Happy Saint Patrick's Day

Postby flintlok » Sat Mar 17, 2018 7:11 pm

Happy Saint Patrick's Day. We got a corned beef and cabbage dinner cooking on the stove. My wife who denies me such meals cooks it once a year about this time. I'm looking forward to supper.

What is it with people celebrating St Patrick's Day?

Most of those who do it aren't Irish and have not connection with Ireland unless it was about five generations ago.

Why can't we celebrate St Georges Day? Or is that too English nationalist which we're not allowed to be?
