Children should be banned from shops

Been offered a two day interview next week
A company want an engineer and know I have a decent background in a trade
They have offered two days to see if Im interested in going back into the trade and to see if Im any good, like the company etc
After ten years out the game, I had to get some cheap work wear

So off I go to a big mail order and warehouse diy store
Pull up, toddle in, look at the catalogue and fumble in my jacket for my reading glasses
Luckily I keep a spare pair of readers in the glove box / hairdressing supplies box of Gaylord
Back into the store
Looking through the catalogue again and a young assistant approached with the normal "can I help you sir"
Mentioned why I had to nip out
"yea my dads the same with his glasses" :bh:

That one phrase, made me feel old

Same poor young girl had to serve me
By the time I had finished trying jackets there was a six deep que behind me

Alas, you've achieved the super man status of becoming invisible to young woman. The only remedy for this condition is lots and lots of money. You need a job. Good luck with the interview. I hope it all works out.

I think "Job" and "Work" should be in the swear filter. :)

Anyway Lee, it's not that you're old, it's just that you don't appear to have worn very well.
