I'm waiting for you to surrender your knives to me now that the Mayor London has determined that you no longer need them. I'm still buying guns. Next my week Birthday present to myself is a Winchester Model 1894 of 1911 vintage. It's in 38-55 caliber and features a 26 inch octagon barrel. It's a nice adjunct for my early 1911 Colt of 1914 vintage and my Model 1905 Colt revolver.
The faster I go, the older I get.

I am sitting back doing nothing.

This is not by choice as after waiting six months I have finally had the operation to bore out my prostrate and I am not permitted to do any lifting or other strenuous activity.

This includes (but is not limited to) lifting, hoovering, gardening or other forms of domestic drudgery. Sadly it also means I cannot lift rifles so I am limited to doing benchrest where I can sit down. Even then Tim has to set it up for me!

The upside is I don't have a catheter fitted anymore so hopefully I won't get anymore urinary tract infections - four in six months with two of them putting me in hospital. (The last one for three weeks)

So, I'm awake, inactive (Read lazy) and bored but should the need arise I can bend down to reach my sandals.

Been there, done that, and got the Tee shirt. Now I piss like I'm in my 40's. Works like a top but it really takes about 6 months for full recovery.

Now was that nice thing to say to a elderly gentleman when it's almost my Birthday. I buying the Winchester to celebrate and, alas, your trying to dampen the festivities.

I too have been inactive under doctors orders for the last three months. Whilst skiing over new year in Spain I was hit heavily from behind twice by snowboarders riding too fast for their ability. These collisions have given me a slipped disc and trapped nerves, making walking painful, driving limited to 25 minutes before it gets too much and so I haven’t pulled a trigger for all that time :thdn: :thdn: . I really need to get out of the house and shoot something. It must be time to get out after the fox cubs soon, I also need to zero my newly acquired 30-06 and my new WW2 collection, a Lee no4 and a k98 both genuine war years issue. Whilst I’ve been inactive I have been reloading and have stockpiled 100’s of rounds, I just need a chance to make them go bang :cheese:
BSA Super meteor and tornado gas ram
