I'm hoping to get a taxi drivers license
A company has offered me a car, fuel card etc, self employed on a 60/40 split once I get the license
To get the license, its the normal enhanced dbs checks etc
They also require a medical
Not trusting doctors, with so many of the old farts on here having new hips, strapadicktomes etc, I have not been since returning to the UK
First attempt at booking the medical, they had run out of appointments and call again the next day
Next day I called and they gave me an appointment six weeks later in May
Taxi company managed to get another driver to swap their date with mine.
10 minutes with the doctor today, cost £102
In that ten minutes, he checked my height which he got wrong by 10cm, weight and blood pressure
The eye test that's part of the required medical, I need to get done at an opticians because the practice don't do that
And the waiting room had four people sat there waiting and two receptionists
Whats happened to the NHS in the last ten years
