What chuffing gimmick will "they" come up with next?

Staff at the Flying Bullsh!t Academy in Portsmouth spotted the phenomenon, popular amongst some politicians, and introduced it into classes.

It might help them when it comes to claiming benefits, because with an education like that it's doubtful that they'll ever get a job.

So many reasons. My youngest lad is currently employed in a school as a sort of supply teacher. He covers for teachers who are unexpectedly absent (usually suffering a nervous breakdown I suspect) and has to conduct the lessons in whatever subjects are needed. For a start, he is paid £14,000 a year for this responsible job. He has described to me in detail what passes for a disciplinary procedure for unruly pupils. It is complex, delayed, and basically relies upon separating the problem child from the situation by letting them leave the class and go to some sort of remedial class where they can sit and twiddle their thumbs. Detentions are pitiful and often anything up to a week away from the incident. The kids know the system and abuse it daily.

The school has a relatively high percentage of minorities and just about every incident gives rise to a complaint of racism on the part of the teacher, which must, of course, be fully investigated and listed upon the teachers personal records, even if, as always, the allegation is a mendacious and groundless pile of poo. One of my lad's such complaints he received, that he had been racist towards a pupil was based solely upon the complainant's perspective that all of the teachers were racist, so he must be. I kid you not.

What a world of crap we are making for ourselves.
If you don't have to give up your car because other people commit crimes in their cars, why should I have to give up my firearms because other people commit crimes with their firearms?
