Having failed the HbA1c and been told by the health centre nurse to change my ways or go onto the diabetes tablets I have forsaken the pies, pasties etc and am now eating more sensibly (like eating dust, sawdust and cardboard without the salt etc) and lost around 36lbs since July. My blood sugar is back in the normal zone and I've gone from "obese fat knacker" to just overweight.
I now walk the dogs instead of eating pizza and one of my routes is round the perimeter of the local golf course and this takes me through the retail park. Today is Christmas day so little traffic and the retail park is deserted. Well, deserted apart from the odd car which comes looking for bargains and finding an old fart with a dog instead. The best one was a taxi with 4 passengers that passed me, turned round at Burger King and then left - that won't have been cheap
Do people think that others will happily work on Christmas Day just because they have vouchers & no family life?
