Funding

Postby hungryrob » Mon May 25, 2009 10:44 pm

As some of y'all may know, this forum costs cash.. My cash at the minute :(

Running costs are around £450 per annum and last year we had this covered by gifts from Sponsors. It is our intention to avoid this for the future by offering the opportunity for the forum to remain independent and non - commercial. To do this however we need the members to contribute.. Many have already but we are a very long way away from the target amount needed..

Kev (Beer Hunter) is posting a pay pal link on the bottom of the page.. Feel free to chuck us a quid or two folks. If we make more than is required to pay off the bills, I will use the cash to advertise the forum (vermnshooting services offered section) in the farmers mags to benefit us all.

You also get 'forum sponsor' against your name for the year you contributed which looks good ;) Please use your user name as a reference for the payment so we can give you sponsor status  It would also be useful if you could PM me to let me know

Regards

Robbie

Come on all a few quid wont hurt, we all get great pleasure from this forum , a small price to pay for a good banter and to tax each others brains...

I'd suggest an auction section... Getting rid of unwanted stuff to somebody who is prepared to spend a few quid for it. Proceeds to the forum.

Of course, it'd be based on trust, and would be outwith the normal sales section.

Anyone?

I've just made a donation but couldn't see where I could put my user name as reference. Can you pick it up from my e mail address?

How about charging a small voluntary commission on items sold on the site.

Kev, my experience with Pay Pal was that they took a chunk of the money.

Is it possible to do a direct transfer or send a cheque so you get the complete donation?

I'd be happy to take a cheque guys, I hate it to sound mercenary but the reality is that we (I) can't afford to continue this on our own without your support.

No more than a tenner though...

PM me for an address ;)
