I thought Spydercos were mostly all made in Seki, Japan. The probably are made in China now. In any case, by US law and for the last 100 years or so all products sold in the US has to have the country of origin identified somewhere on the product. My Spyderco Civilian is one the first the came out in the 1990's when supposedly sales to civilians of that particular knife were unauthorized. It proudly has "Seki City, Japan" stamped on the blade . The Seki City label on my knife doesn't make it any less collectible if only it wasn't a working knife and in better condition. No matter it served me well.
