Her indoors just bought me an EKA Swingblade for my birthday. I fancy a Lansky sharpening system but will i be able to sharpen the gut blade (curved) with this system.

i think you will struggle on the gut hook with the standard lansky files, but if you get the kit with the serrated stone you should be ok.
or the lansky crok sticks, spyderco sharp maker, a decent round steel, would all do it

Lansky make stones for curved blades. Available either as a 4 pack or individually. See the stones below the kits here.
