As far as I'm aware there isn't such a thing in the UK. All ranges are Private or MOD (Landmark).

So what you really need is a club in that area that has access to a range or else a MOD range that you can hire all by yourself (but that tends to get expensive).

Hopefully someone on this board knows of a club near where your looking or else try the NRA for a list of approved clubs in your locality. (Most UK clubs are affiliated to the NRA)

Basil,

most of those seem to be in the USA. I think that Carlharrison was asking about Exeter, Devon, UK (happy to be told I am wrong!).

There is a shooting club in Pinhoe; http://www.pinhoe-tsc.org.uk/ . I think that is mainly indoors, but they may be able to advise. However, I think that someone is opening up a full bore range in South Devon; http://www.thetunnel.co.uk/ , not a very long range by the look of it.

The Exeter University club refers to a range at Broadhembry, near Honiton. There are a couple of MOD sites around there, so I think that this may be an MOD site. Another MOD site is accessed by teh Tamar Rangers CLub;

http://tamarrangers.co.uk/ranges.html

There are other clubs that use shorter ranges, but with full bore rifles too. I found all of these on Google (although Pinhoe is difficult to find unless you know about it!).

Carl
pinhoe is a bondage only indoor club . 25m and 10m for air rifle

your closest would be torbay fullbore club near newton abbot but I think they are 100m max.

taymar is your best bet for fullbore..

Andy
(I grew up in Exeter and my family are still there)

Thanks everyone for your input. Andy, i'm looking for some where out to 500m for full bore, there seems to be a real lack of them in the area? If i can't get the range i will look for some land with the required distance. Do you know of any land in the area?

There is a 600 yard gallery range at Broadhembury (at the base of the airfield). Plus a 600 yard gallery range at Tavistock. I'll dig out the details later on and forward you them.

Thanks Tiff, i just spoke to some one and they said you need to go in pairs to Honiton as you need some one to lift and drop the targets? If i had some good spotting glass could i go by myself? Have you been there?
