Firearms renewal forms for the referees to fill in?

Postby Bluelungbutter » Mon Nov 20, 2017 5:50 pm

Hey folks

Looking over my paperwork for renewing my firearms cert that i downloaded from police scotland and there is no mention of the referees having to fill out a form like they used to. Have i missed it or do they not fill one out nowadays?

Cheers

You just name them, providing that they have agreed to act for you, then the police contact them in due course.

EDIT: But they will tell you if they don't accept your referee(s)

Download the forms again, just in case you had a glitch, then fill them in and get them to your local plod
I always hand in the forms and ask the person to check I have filled them in correctly and all the relevent pages are there

EXACTLY THIS!
I was a ref for a mate a couple of months ago.
All I got was a phone call from the FEO to check I didn't have any doubts about him.

Cheers lads. The firearms guys got back to me saying the same. You just give details, referee's don't fill anything in.

Cheers again
