You can't get the magazine springs separately as spare parts in the UK or Europe, they aren't listed in any of the parts lists I have past or present.

I would tap up Remington directly, you might get lucky.

Well I have never seen the need for a 30 round mag, in the field its a pain.

Both my CZ 5shot and Ruger 10shot use the shortest mags made,

I use my rifle for sporting use and vermin control not on the battle field.

As the director of Ruger once said there is no need for more than 10 rounds in a sporting rifle

Ahem, I have loads of 30's and 20's, 10's and 5's and I don't care about what anyone thinks about it. It only take one bullet and the magazine capacity has nothing to do with anything but politics.

Does when in the field it gets in the way the 10 round mag does not poke out the bottom of the 1022 the cz 5 round sticks out about a quarter inch the 10 shot is much longer

Agreed, that's how I select the mag that I'll be using as to the type of shooting that I will be doing. When popping away at casual targets I prefer 20 or 30 round magazines. It's a pain to keep loading 10's and especially 5's. If I want to target shoot really slow fire I tend to shoot single shot or 5 rounders. Field use would be typically 5 or 10 depending on what I doing at the time and the gun. The 5 rounders do conform with the gun's geometry better than the 10's however I don't find that either are a problem. I shoot AR's and I prefer the 20's for prone other than that I lean toward the 30's however I rarely load them to max. With my FAl and M1A I shoot 20's, M1 Carbine 15's and the Garand is 8. I love to hear the ping on a Garand when the clip springs out. I tend to max out the loads mags in my bolt guns. The Enfield get 10 and the Springfields get five and I use stripper clips to load.
