Primed cases

Postby melg4yng » Mon Dec 08, 2014 7:22 pm

If I clean and prime cases but don't put the powder in, are the primers likely to suffer from being stored a month or so if I keep the cases in a plastic box? I wouldn't have thought so but costs nothing to ask :)

Do they really? I've always assumed that until the round was capable of being fired, with powder and head installed, it didn't count. You learn something new everyday!

I was told a similar thing years ago

There is enough muzzle blast to cause injury with just a primer

Just the primer can fire a rubber projectile with some force

I think you'll find that is a load of Ballocks.

Expanding bullets count towards your total of live rounds.
All other components do Not. IE. Primers, Primed Cases, cases, powders, bullets not designed to expand.

And that, folks, is the plain truth.
If you don't have to give up your car because other people commit crimes in their cars, why should I have to give up my firearms because other people commit crimes with their firearms?
