Can't read

Postby Keef » Sun Oct 18, 2015 3:46 pm

Can't read or won't read!

I had an e mail sent out to all club members informing them of a Granet competition this Sunday morning. Among the details it clearly said "Rifles: Any .22 rimfire rifle, any sights". I wasn't there as I spent Saturday night at my daughters having spent the evening stuffing cheese and biscuits down my throat, washed down with copious amounts of port.

I get home this afternoon and the son gives me the comp targets. Some numpty has shot it with a 357 under lever. You'd have thought an ex copper would at least be able to read wouldn't you? :) :)

Oh, it must be an approximation of something that may have looked like a 22 at a distance. :? :?

Perhaps he couldn't pull the .22 out of its holster.

Hmmmph!

For a start it was a .44! And there was a couple at least of .22 holes on the target.
If you don't have to give up your car because other people commit crimes in their cars, why should I have to give up my firearms because other people commit crimes with their firearms?

Alas, someone shot on your target or you shot on theirs. Another police mystery.... ;) ;) ;)

Nah! Should have just fired one careful shot and just claimed it as one of my better groups. ;)

I'll have you know that I got a one hole group at 100 metres with one of my .22s. OK, it took about 500 rounds and the hole was about a foot across but it was a one hole group by God!

It was a tactical decision on my part. I got the black bit completely surrounded.
