Coo! I want one.

Basically a BLR. Looks sweet though, and if Henry have maintained their usual manufacturing standards it should be good.
If you don't have to give up your car because other people commit crimes in their cars, why should I have to give up my firearms because other people commit crimes with their firearms?

That's similar to a Winchester 1886. They are nice rifles.

That looks a very nice rifle, I wonder how accurate they actually are. ( I see there are no figures on their website)

My only levergun experience is a Marlin, very different design I know, that is fun, but not what I would call "accurate" by any means.

I imagine that they shoot as well as any other lever guns.

Received wisdom (for the Browning) is that they shoot somewhat better than other lever rifles. First, they have a box magazine which not only allows pointed type bullets with a better BC, but also, the rifle's balance is less affected because the centre of gravity changes hardly at all as rounds are expended. Also, there is no tubular magazine hanging off the barrel to affect barrel harmonics. Also, it has a rotary bolt, which is quoted as aiding accuracy. I can't vouch for this being so, but it sounds good.

hornady make leverevolution especially for tubular magazines, meant to stop chain detonation completely

Looks like a really nice rifle
If it has a trigger I'm gonna enjoy it!

Look - an eagle!

That looks very tempting! I wonder how much they'd be over here - if we ever see them at all? :hmm:

I shoot my 357 Marlin at 100, 200 and 300 yards.

I tried the Hornady plastic tipped bullets and they weren't as accurate as the FMJ bullets that JDR sells.

As for the Henry rifle, are you getting pigeon toed Mr Shootist or was that supposed to be "Cool" in the heading?
