New Henry Fronteer 22WMR

Postby Deallad » Sun Oct 02, 2016 2:08 pm

i had been after a 22WMR light weight foxing rifle for a while.

i decided on the Henry fronteer, straight out of the box i knew it was a good bit of kit, with the Zeiss on top it was bang on the money.

3 rounds fired to zero and it was a performer

Nice rifle, congrats. Henry is making a serious effort to produce top quality lever guns.

You must have an extremely enlightened firearms department, who recognise that a 22WMR is capable for close range foxes. South Yorkshire insist on centrefire for any fox, even if it's out of the farmers bedroom window over his hen huts  . Nice looking gun by the way, it looks fun, fun, fun.

Henry lever rifles have what must be the smoothest action of all of the current offerings. They are a pleasure to use, and are definitely accurate enough for MO Varmint pest control.

Under the home office guidelines which I believe the firearms departments must refer to it even says 22lr for close use.

The Henry does have a smooth action just wish it came apart the same as the Marlin 39a for cleaning as I like to rod from chamber to muzzle.
