Two weeks and three days!

Postby Shootist » Fri Jul 07, 2017 8:19 pm

Nearly a personal best by Derbyshire Firearms Admin to get my FAC back to me varied as requested. Tomorrow my Pedersoli 45/70 will be coming home with me from the shop, and as soon as I can, another .44 Magnum.
If you don't have to give up your car because other people commit crimes in their cars, why should I have to give up my firearms because other people commit crimes with their firearms?

That's a result!

I put a variation into Cheshire on Wednesday, so I'll see how long it takes 'em. :hmm:

Cool. So what 44 Magnum are you leaning towards. I just picked a sweet Winchester Model 92 in 44 Magnum. It's tamed the cartridge down from the beating it gives in a pistol. I love that cartridge. It's a handloader's round.
The faster I go, the older I get.

A friend is offering me a Rossi single shot break barrel. I do like single shot rifles so it will be a fun plinker to back up my Marlin .44.

I posted off the forms for my variation (one for one) last Monday morning and the new FAC dropped through the letter box yesterday.

Staffordshire are doing well at the moment, my RFD was renewed in less than a month and arrived here two months before the old one expired and my sons European Firearm Permit was here four days after posting it off.

Your Firearm Certificate allows you to use the rifles for vermin control and/or target shooting.

Nowhere on the Certificate does it mention "Fun" so you are breaking the conditions of use.

Ah, yes! I had forgotten the criminal offence of smiling while in possession of a firearm.
