.22 Rimfire Shotshells?

Postby humperdingle » Sat Apr 19, 2008 6:36 pm

Any of you knowledgeble chaps know of any LOCALISH suppliers of these .22 Rimfire Shotshells?

I'm sure they're rubbish, but might be handy for shooting pigeons in sheds, and not wanting to blow a 12" hole in the roof!

Winchester and CCI do then but finding some in stock may be problematic.

If the local shops do not stock them they will have to order some in. To make it economic the shop may have to order a minmum quantity or combine it with a larger order.

It might mean waiting but check with the local shops as to if they will order some in the next time they buy from that distributor. You might find you have to buy in 1000 so if you can finsd someone to share them with it will save you some cash.

I have just looked at one spec that gives them loaded with a very small amount of number 12 shot. I'm almosr ceratin there used to be a round with metallic dust in it as I saw many years ago sparrows being culled from a huge dining room/kitchen with a glass roof.

Yeh they seem quite scarce little objects.

Perhaps for a reason though!

Probably good rounds but in a very limited number of situations. Idea for small birds inside a building where opening windows etc has failed to move them out.

Maybe those who buy them only do it once. Any infestation is likely to be relatively small and quickly cleared so if you buy 1000 they're likely to last you the rest of your shooting career!

Sounds good... Is it possible to send them? If so, how do I go about it mate, and how much would postage be?? Wouldn't mind maybe 100 to see what they're like.
