Well guys here she is, my new Sightron S111 Tactical with the long range MOA dot ret.

Got it mounted today and took it out for a rough zero as the winds are blowing like 20-30mph!

Impressions...... Very good, the glass is very bright and very clear and the MOA Dot ret is fantastic, I aimed at a rabbit at 418 yards away (before it was zeroed) and could have taken his head no problems and only using 12x mag ! Spotted some sheep at 750 yards and it was like they were 50 yards away, very very impressed and looking forward to taking some long range bunnies.

My Bushnell 6500 was sadly sold the other day, but I don't think I will miss it, the Sightron is in a different league !

I've had a an 8-32 S111 Sightron for over 6 months, I finally fitted it a few weeks ago.
I hope to use it in anger this weekend.
I've lapped the rings and collimated it.
It's taken me nearly 12 months to finish my F class project!
Shame I missed the WMS Steel plate challenge, it would have been very interesting to see how far I could have pushed the .308 with the Sightron on top!

i should have mine the week after next

And here's a peep through my sightron 8-32x56 target version 100 yd target taken with a camera phone.

at 8x and at about 20 x.

What i was really suprised at was the lack of mag needed to use when spotting,shooting and aiming at targets, like I said 12 mag was more that enough for a 400+ yard bunnie easy!

Must be glass quality and Retical type.

I got the SIII 6x24 a couple of months back and I'm well impressed with it. First test was on a 600 yd range at Altcar and, once I'd remembered to allow for the 20 MOA rail, I was grouping nicely after only three rounds. Glass and optics are exceptional, very clear and very sharp. Turrets feel very positives have no slack in them. For the money I would have liked to see the scope come with BC's as lens caps. And I got a 'free Sightron cap too.

I didn't know these scopes were safe to use on a shotgun!

My rifle and scope but not my target This one was shot by a chap who tells me his Remmy shoot 1/2 groups all day long,

Been considering buying a Sightron for some time now, reviews are excellent and you guys have pushed me over the edge.

Spoke to John at Aimfield Sports today and bit the bullet, a Sightron SIIISS 10-50x60 LRIRMOA will be winging it's way to me next week. John was great to deal with as expected.

While I am a little excited, I'm thinking a stiff drink is now called for, being a Fifer spending large sums of money has never sat well with me.

I expect I'll be selling my Docter 5-25x50 once I've settled in with the new scope.

I'll let you know how I go with it when the time comes.
