The cap or the scope?

I paid US$870 for mine, but got 10% off in a sale too, which paid for shipping and international CC charges. No import duty here up to A$1000 either!

Dave, if you have a weaver rail on any of your rifles you are welcome to try mine if you like?
It's sat in a QD mount.

On price I did look at suppliers in the US, the Opticszone above is a good price but most US suppliers were running at the $1400+, throw in the shipping, VAT and UK import duty which I have been caught with enough times recently, then price wise it worked out similar or "even cheaper" to buy the 10-50x60 in the UK.

Peace of mind, fast shipping, no issues later with warranty if any problems arise and supporting the UK importer, all good stuff. I didn't pay the list price of £1100, I didn't pay for the sunshade and I got a free cap. Worth speaking to John at Aimfield Sports about any potential purchase and as mentioned before he offered to take the scope back if I was unsatisfied in anyway, as long as I didn't mount it in rings.

The Sightrons are worth a look if wanting new glass...

Found this review by Richard Utting earlier today when looking through Youtube and cannot disagree with his comments or thinking, as yet I have not shoot with mine but anticipate that it will perform as expected. It does seem that the vast majority of purchasers are happy with what they have bought.

Was out with mine again yeaterday, shooting 500m Fly (Though only at 400m on this range). Conditions were shitty beyond belief, with gale force winds, so the ability to see the 308 calibre holes in the target at that distance and correct shot to shot was invaluable. I'm really liking this scope for the money.

There was also a guy there with a March 24x tactical model on his custom .223, and whilst it was an excellent scope, in the lighting conditions yesterday I really couldn't see a difference to justify the extra cost.

All target based scopes don't need to be good at dawn and dusk as you don't really use them then. But when the weather is shite and grey and raining and it's getting dark you start to see where your money went. But to be fair in good light you need to have some eyes to tell the difference between a £800 scope and a £2k one

Finally got to use my Sightron yesterday.
The conditions were hardly ideal, it was very blustery and wet.
However, I shot really well and was shooting respectable groups at 200 yards.
The reticle is superb, I particularly like the centre dot.
Overall I am very pleased with the scopes performance and would not hesitate in recommending them.
Superb vfm for sure!

Great stuff fella, I have used my out in target only to 400 yards at the minute but wow it was bloody impressive. I will get out further when time allows but a 400 yards it made such a difference, I also shot static clay pigeons at 400 and the LRMOA dot ret is awesome the dot sat lovely within the clay at only 12x mag !
