Has anyone seen the new Daystate Wolverine .303 cal FAC air rifle 100ft lbs.? I have a question, if I bought this rifle and went rabbit shooting with it would there be enough left of the rabbit for me to eat after I shot it or would I have to settle for minced rabbit.? LOL

it`s only putting .22LR power out so headshots should be no problem for bunny meat

And a pretty loopy trajectory I guess - I don't know what weight the bullet is but I would guess more than the 40gns of a .22 bullet so the velocity must be in the 8-900fps range to give 100ftlbs so another guess is the drop at 100yds would be at least a couple of feet :(

A solution searching for a problem!

would it not ricochet like our beloved .22{heavy piece of lead and low velocity}?
how much is it?

50g pellet so its going to be roughly the same as 22lr,and it will bounce like a barsteward

what i expected :turd: with no shot count either  surely a decent rapid in 22 at about 30 ftlb would be the better option just a thought :roll:if you are going down the air route and not powder

now I must agree with that forgot all about the .25 that would be nice rifle to use although could that knock down a boar like the daystate   I saw a clip on youtube the other day.I am no big game hunter but surely that is not enough gun

Have you seen the YouTube video by team f'wit where they shoot a boar with one of these?
Unbelievable.

I would suggest that a 50 grain pellet at 1,000 fps (110 lb.ft) is not enough for a clean kill every time.

OMG! Shooting a boar with the equivalent (at best) of a .22LR!?

My dad had a slaughterman fail to kill a pig about that size with his pistol as he said their skull was too hard, i think he was very lucky that boar went down to that shot.

The gun seems a pointless curiosity, if i want something to lob a 40gr bullet at 100ftlb there is an obvious solution, it doesnt cost £1500 and doesnt need charging every 15 shots either!

Shocking. You could almost hope that one day all someone will find is a .22 air rifle with teeth marks in the stock and and a single boot with an old stripey sock in it
