H & N Crow Mag .177 accuracy (lack of)

Postby sniper2011 » Fri Feb 15, 2013 5:02 pm

Bought a box of these to try and at 15 yards they are reasonable but at 30 they hit the target sideways most of the time! Think these will be a good ratting pellet as do seem to expand well but considering you could probably fit a small crow inside the group at thirty yards they won't be much good for bunny hunting, s200 seemed to group excellent with crosman prem hollows and H & N field target trophy power (copper plated version)

And now a Edgar brothers striker 1000 .22

one thing to remember bud,if you can not consitantly group within the size of a ten pence piece with the air rifle/pellets your using at that distance, then you should not be shooting at live quarry end off,no if's or but's dont do it :thdn:

Yep my other pellets are putting excellent ragged groups together, just the crow mags are obviously more aerodynamic sideways at distance! :turd: :hmm:

It's as simple as some pellets just don't suit. ;)
