Newbie says Hi :-) and Co2 question

Postby harley-dude » Tue Jul 09, 2013 1:04 pm

Hi all,

Just registered and wanting to ask about the Umarex Colt 1911 Co2 .177 air pistol.im thinking of buying one for plinking and 20-50ft targeting, only for fun, and wondered whether any of you had any good/bad reviews/experience with this model. It's a boy's toy of I want a replica also, and I think the Dark Ops model looks great. Is build quality/reliability and fun factor of these Fill metal Imarex models upto what the hype says??

Cheers

Si

I had a CP88 and it was a great wee pistol, nice and heavy and certainly seemed to be built well.

Might be an idea to register with the "Umarex Boys Club", where they know all there is to know about such pistols.

Welcome to the forum.
I had one of these exact models and it is well made and pretty accurate for a cheap CO2 pistol. Lots of go-faster bits to tune them with too.
Don't expect much power or have accuracy to be able to pick of tin cans much beyond 20 yards.

Lots of folk pick one up on a whim (like myself), have a few months fun and sell them on. So, lots of nearly new examples going second hand.
