newbie air rifle owner

Hi everyone.i have recently bought my first air rifle and havent got a very big garden.so was wondering if anyone knows of land in or around the plymouth devon area that I could practice on.i dont really want to shoot any animals..maybe rats though.any advice would be greatly appreciated.thank you.

Hello and welcome to the forum, I can't help with the land but look on the shooting map in the top left corner and I'm sure you'll find a club near you :thup:

I would recommend that you check around in the area for a gun club and consider joining one of them (there will be several). AS a new air gunner you will probably benefit from the tips you will pick up from fellow members and maybe even some coaching to stop you getting into bad habits. The most important skill you can ever learn is safe gun handling which is much easier in a formal setting. You will also benefit from the competition side of things as it will sharpen up your marksmanship skills and add an extra level of fun.
For the avoidance of doubt, there is no such thing as "American English". There is the English language and there are mistakes.

I'm not sure if I can post this or recommend this but here goes.
I lived in Plymouth for 8 years till recently. There is a forum for shooters that has a few Plymouth based gunners on.
Active shooter forum. It's not big but maybe exterminator on there will be able to help you out. He's a top bloke.
