Have you seen the new Daystate air rifle?

I like bullpups and I've done lots of conversions but if I designed one from scratch I doubt it would look like this:

This is probably aimed at the USA market - as is most of the stuff that Daystate produces. No doubt it will be snapped up by the lovers of the seemingly endless range of limited edition rifles that Daystate seem to sell every couple of months to boost sales, and by people who can't wait to buy the latest offering.

Daystate will continue to sell their products - which are generally quite good, but definitely not as good as the price tags would indicate - and this bullpup is no exception. There have been rumours about this model for quite some time, and no doubt the order books will be healthily filled. I think bullpups are definite Marmite guns, and I'm firmly in the 'anti' camp, but I know a lot of people like 'em, so what do I know!!

Bloody awful looking thing, I'll stick with my springers!

I can't get my head around why some people will spend 2K to kill rats

A tub of poison will last ten years and cost 20 quid..

Oh; maybe this is about gun nuts; they're dangerous in my opinion

Cos it will also take out rabbits at 50 yards at 12ftlbs and you can use it against roosting birds and squirrels in trees when you wouldn't use a cartridge gun.

However a £300 pre charged will do the same job and leave you with loads a money for a proper rifle!

I have total respect for air weapons as they are the entry point, and promote the various disciplines of the fine sport of shooting. They are also better suited for the control of small vermin than rimfire.

Also, IMO, learning how to perfect the shooting of a spring powered rifle translates to being able to be a more proficient CF rifle shooter.

BUT £2,000 FOR A PCP!!!!! KIN ELL

I don't know why they aren't making an underlever gun, I have a Phoenix Mk2 and it's very practical as a hunter ( it's also incredibly accurate, but I don't know if they all are ). With their electronic hammer / trigger, a Daystate would only have to work the magazine and the pellet probe, which could make an ultra short and smooth lever cocking action.
