Thoughts on Umarex 850 airmagnum

Wed Jul 29, 2015 3:34 pm

Hi all,

Any one on here own or have experience with the Umarex 850 airmagnum in .177 Cal?

I no the ups and downs of using co2 power and have been doing my research and to be honest on the co2 market there isn't much choice, but out of the choice around this seems to be the most favorable. i have been shooting with springers all my life and am currently using a stoeger x20s and haven't really dabbled with anything else but am now looking at trying my hand with a "budget" multi shot rifle...

Just wondering people honest opinions from experience of this rifle....? or in any ones opinion is there anything out there for around the same money mark that would be better?....

I'm keen on co2 as in my area its easiest to come by and the rifle its self is boosting 200 shoots per fill and co2 canisters are a bit easier to carry around opposed to there PCP counterparts although i've not written PCP off ...

My primary use for this rifle will be hunting small game, fur and feathers....

Was tempted to get one myself a while back as they are nice looking rifle and good build quality but got put off in the end by people saying they tend to lose their accuracy in cold conditions so I bought PCP instead

I was looking to get one but decided to go down the springer route instead with all co2 guns it will be dependent on air temp but in normal weather conditions no problem very accurate very well made just when it gets cold accuracy and power may wonder

Will be good enough for the game you want to shoot power and accuracy wise just the effect of cold weather distorting that worries me
