Which FAC air rifle?

Good day chaps,
I am intending to put in for a variation and thought while at it I would put in for an FAC Air rifle for bunnies where rimfire might be too noisy.
I am thinking .25 as I have a .22 sub 12ft/lbs.
Any input would be gratefully received re makes, models, calibres & power.
Cheers
Dave

Anything from Air Arms, Gunpower or Daystate. .22/.25 @ 30+ fpe = game over.

If you want the very best.

Get a Steyr LG110

mine produces a single non ragged hole at 25m and a 1/4 inch group at 50m

if you want a semi auto the hunting 5 is superb

Most decent make air rifles will do a good job in .22 or .25. The issue, if issue it be, is the shot count. I've had a Falcon FN19 running at 25 ft/lb for about 15 or more years now. Accurate enough if I do my part for reliable headshots on bunnies at up to 60 yards, but it will only do about 30 shots reliably before needing a fill. I admit, though, that I would love something with a bloody big tank shooting .25 at about 60 ft/lb.

Bit of an old trend but I’m looking into the FAC air rifles again. In fact I’ve ordered a FX Impact in .25 with the new power plenum, also order one of the new slug liners also to shoot slugs.

Check on YouTube for the ballistics and awesomeness of the FX guns. Outstanding isn’t the world, Pluss the .25 is ballistically superior over the .25 and even the .30.

Got a bit of a wait as it is about 4 week delivery.

Roll on and stay tuned guys!

Steve

what he^^^^ just said, although annoyingly i just done a deal on a .177 hw100 that's meant to be fac(dealers chrony is broke) but i may get it turned down to sub 12 depending on results when our local gunsmith tests it.
FX and Matt dubber ( https://www.youtube.com/c/AirArmsHuntingSA/featured) have done a shed load of work developing the new impact and it shows, they are the fac air rifle to beat at the minute for usability

My understanding was that once a rifle was rated as FAC it could never be returned to "off ticket" Even if it is sub 12 Fulbright physically once it has been FAC you must have FAC to possess it. Please check as I may be not up to date on my law, and of course your RFD shouldn't sell it to you if it's not on your ticket.

we are not uk bud, as long as gunsmith submits a letter to firearms stating it is now fixed at below 12fpe you can have it :) , i cant take it to uk or sell it in uk
just depends on what he thinks is best, if a easy job to lower it to 11.4 ish then that's what i want , if it is going to be a pain to do or damage gun in anyway i will keep it fac

Still sat in the gun shop!

As discussed, I personally wouldn’t mess with it, I’d just take it on FAC. Unless the guy really knows what he is doing, knows what the standard sub 12 manufacture values for the reg pressure and hammer spring settings are, Pluss has or can even be arsed to spend the time to do it correctly, I’d leave it well alone.

All HW100’s will perform to a high level without fiddling, so why fiddle.

Get it on FAC and go pick it up so we can go and shoot shit!
