Anyone using a .45 or .50 pellet?

Postby Judge Ali » Sat May 24, 2008 6:12 pm

Just found them for sale on a US website. I didnt know they even made pellets this big to be honest - I thought .25 was it.

Anyone used these or know anything about them? I am guessing they must be for FAC rifles only but have never seen any around.....

Cheers

I had a .32 Crosman pistol rifle affair, at 12 ft/ibs it was clearly not flat shooting but mustard for ratting and ferals around the barns.

www.crookedbarn.com I think theres still a picture of the one he built me on there

Just google "big bore air rifles" and you'll see they are around and have been around for a long time. I think the most comon is a Career related rifle or series of rifles: Quackenbush, Shun Sing, Sam Yang, Dragonslayer etc.

Then there's the larger-than-life Gary Barnes! http://www.glbarnes.com/

Come accross a few Posts of USA Boards

Seems that a growing number are shooting these Calibre in Bench Rest Competitions

Not aware of any in use in the UK

Aware that there are 9mm Shooters in Ireland

As for having a FAC Air Gun you have to list reason
Would be interesting as to why you would want such a large Calibre
