Precharge Systems

Postby Clubshot » Mon Jun 02, 2008 1:23 pm

Many are still moving into precharge Air Gun System

Owning more than one gun and wondering about which Bottles and adapters to get

Most precharge Shooters will buy a 300 Bar Diving bottle
Yes most Guns only need around 200 Bar

But 300 Bar Bottles hold a lot more fills than 207 & 232 Bar Bottles
Yes do cost more as thicker walls - more steel

Air might be free but getting 300 Bar into a Dive bottle seems to be costing more as
Fill stations seem to having growing charges

Midland Diving are on the the UK main Imports of Faber 300 Bar Bottles
And make required adapters

http://www.midlanddiving.com Precharge section has pictures and details

Airgunner has put up a useful page of adapters etc on the following link

Diving Nik naks do a 300 bar 12 litre cylinder for £130 plus around £8 postage!

the total bill for the cylinder, din valve (the bit on top for diving) and an air rifle adaptor and fill kit with gauge was £192 posted, plus another tenner to have the din valve fitted before filling.

It's at least £50 cheaper than the equivalent from the main air gun shops!! Link and phone number here:

With the Growing by-annual cost of getting Din Bottles Tested

It could be viable to have a MDE Air Gun Head Fitted

As they only need Testing Every Five Years

Has to be carried out by a Service Dive Centre
Most will do a exchange or price as in the benefit for part's ;)
