The battery life is listed at 3000 hours (125 days) according to the specifications on the ad for the scope below. It does not say in the add at to what the brightness setting was to achieve the maximum life of the battery so I would expect something less than 3000 hours (125 days) in terms of practical use. It you shut the power scope off when not in use then you wouldn't be draining the battery so it would be a while before you changed the battery. I have a Trijicon SRS and it's advertised continuous run battery life is 3 years at a power setting of 7 out of 10. I believe that Aimpoint and EOTech scopes have a significantly longer continuous run battery life still. My buddy bought a Chinese scope and he found his continuous run battery life was a little over a week. That should put thing in perspective for you in terms of battery life.
