I have a Leupold 8 to 25 x 50 LR and find that the head position is a bit fussy.

I have a Sightron 10 to 50 x 60 with a fine cross hair and 1/8" dot which I like a lot.

For the money the Sightron is good value, it's light in weight if you want to do F/TR and there's good back up from John Dean the man who runs Aim Field Sports.

There's an article on scopes here in Target Shooter with mention of all three scopes:

Sightron get a mention in this piece as well from the same web mag:

do you use the x50 mag or would x32 be enough, cost is not that much of a issue between them

I use a Leupold 6.5 -- 20x 50 with 30mm tube fine duplex reticule it works well on the 22WMR. and the tracking is good, it is nice and bright does all I want it to do.

I have all my rimfire rifles fitted with Leupold scopes, CZ455 22lr has a 6.5-20 x 42 1 inch tube, my Ruger 10-22 and Steyr LG110 air rifle have a Leupold AR MK2 tactical 6-18 x 42 and again its a superb scope, (though has 1/2 moa clicks not so good for long range)

The Leupold Mk4 is a great scope, but if spending mk 4 money give sporting services a call they may have a used Shmidt and Bender and then you will have the best, I have 2 one on the 300 win mag and one on the 223 great out beyond 1000 yards.

Leupold have a lifetime warranty too, as I was glad to have the day I dropped it. They just sent me a new scope even though it was my fault.

I have a mate who has a vortex and it is also a fine scope tracks well, I like the zero stop on it, very bright and has mil dot FFP.
