Leica Scope

Don't buy cheap glass!

Leica Scope

Postby Keef » Tue Feb 28, 2017 4:57 pm

I have a Leica scope, 3.5 to 14 on a 30mm tube, the ret is across hair with dot.

This scope would have been originally sold in the US only where it retailed for about $900.00.

From reading up on it, the glass was made by Leica and the scope assembled in the US by Leupold.

It will parallax down to 25m so is a good hunting scope but I need to be able to parallax to 10m for gallery rifle so I'm thinking of selling it to finance something else.

So the question is what do you lot value it at?

On my Marlin 336 which I use for gallery rifle I have a Zeiss Terra 2-7 x 36 superb scope, Tommo has one too.

The Terra is an entry level Zeiss but don't be put off suoooooppa bright due to the low mag the parallax is not an issue either.

When the 30-30 goes out munty shooting its good for that too

Why not re-parallax it yourself, Keef? Remove the front cover to expose the lens carrier, and turn it anti-clockwise (looking from the front) until you have your desired parallax.
