I shall be in the market for a night vision very shortly,but, should I go for a dedicated scope or an add on? i will be using on a CZ .22 r/f, and may look to using on my CZ .22 hornet,any advice will be welcome, thanks, Alan :?

I'd save your pennies and try to find a secondhand Gen 2+ add on unit for around 800 - 1000 quid.

Add a decent laser once the cash flow better and you'll have a system that should last a long time.

I have a high resolution Gen 2+ add on with a good laser. There's little or no need for anything more... I can see foxes out to and beyond 300 yards and safely and clearly shoot them at up to 200 yards. I did have a D760 Dedicated with the same tube and it was awesome but I prefer the flexibility of having the add on so I can use the rifle for other types of shooting as well.

Gen 1 etc simply isn't worth the money in my opinion..
