And I thought the 5-25x56 was the S&B worth lusting after.....

Considering the price hike on all the PMII's, my guess is that the 12-50x56 will be priced at 2k or over!
I like my toys, but not at those prices.

The one they have designed for FT is in the region of £1300.

It focuses from 7 to 70m.

I need two though, one for 50m .22 bench rest and another for centre fire.

Do you think they;ll let me do a very long term testing session?

So were the 5-26x56 PMII's when they first came out, they are now between £1750 and £1900.

The 12-50x56 should cost less then the 5-25x56 as it has a non-illuminated reticule :)
As the generation II 5-25x56 retails in the UK at about £1,800, I'm guessing a tag of about £1,600.
The big advantage of the new model is 1/8th clicks - I never understood why they stuck with 1/4 clicks on the other models. If you are dialling-in at long range, 1/4 clicks just ain't fine enough.

No offence but it would be nice if they actually produced them to sell in this country, I mean has any body seen the FT version's for sale in a shop ( and I dont just mean advertised in Gun Mart either ) ??? I know of 2 shooters who have them, and I've seen a display model at Sportsman in Devon and that's it. The waiting lists at York guns started 2 years ago and still heard nothing more about them ... ( hope this doesnt offend anyone )

It looks as though it would go nicely on my Unique Alpine .308! :) All I need is the money to pay for one... :(

You might never see them. I hear that all of the S&B technincal staff have jumped ship and started their own business (Opti-something) and are developing scopes for others i.e. the new Premier Heritage.

Had this from a reliable source, anyone here deal with S&B to confirm?

Basically the 5-25's are good and proven, anything after this, if there is a development problem no one to do it in house.

Interesting scope that (http://www.premierreticles.com/Heritage ... e3-15x.pdf)
I'll be keeping an eye on them to see what they come out with next. A 8-32x50 with finer clicks would be great please :)

There's a fair bit on snipershide.com about the Heritage. Doesn't look bad at all.

My shooting buddy in Houston's should have one of the Premiers about now, he's up at Thunder ranch doing a high altitude shooting course, I think he took it for a ring out, I'll let folks know what he thinks, try and get some side by side comparisons as he has similar S&B's.

I'd love to see one with about a 22x++ high mag personally. The Gen 2 reticle and .1 mil adjustments fine with me, but I'd use it for shooitng steel's so it's not such a problem.

They're supposed to have Zeiss glass and it's not as if Premier have not seen a scope or 2
