Which model Conquest out of intereset? Do you know what your eventual come up was at 1000 yards taking into acount the mildots might not actually be 'mils' (as I do not know what setting on your scope a mil is a mil, being a SFP scope that is
)
I can understand the zero not being in the centre of adjustment with a 20moa rail, some folks end up with a 28-30 mnute rail with a 308, also depends on your load as the 308 does become a bit 'baseball like' out at 1000 yards.
My 308 using 175g SMK's required just over 10 mils (36+") of elevation to get to 1000 yards
Nightforce are nice, you can see why they are so popular for long range target work.
