Help please!

Don't buy cheap glass!

Help please!

Postby thibben » Mon Sep 28, 2009 6:58 pm

Gents,

Just picked up an older BRNO ZKM in 22 Hornet (to be 22K'ed soon) and I'm looking for a suitable scope.

What I'd like is a 6x40 (possibly up to a 6x45) scope but 'gloss' finnish. I'm not familiar with this type of scope, everything I use is variable, big and matt.

So any pointers, I'm not too bothered about low light at this point, just a simple 6 power - used would be Ok if you've got one sitting in a drawer getting dusty

Cheers Terry

How about a Bushnell Trophy 3-9X40. You can (I think) get them in gloss too! Cheap as chips. Never used one and don't know what they're like low light either. How's that for a recommendation!

I know of a chappie with a Swarovski Habicht Nova 6 x 42 if you're interested. Bit "cosmetically challenged", but y'know. Think around £250 would secure it.

Gents,

Cheers for the input, I might steer towards the Swaro's etc. as I will probably be a bit 'let down' by the Bushnell in comparison to my other glass

Thought you might!
Serously though, good luck hunting down a decent Swaro for good money, I'd have more chance nailing that Buffy chick!
