Yes, thank you for your purchase, Northernbloke. Much appreciated. These Rem Squeeg-Es are proving so popular that we've almost sold out in one day. I'm therefore getting more in soon, in a variety of calibres.

The kits, yes we can look at getting those in at some point. We just want to see how the individual units sell before we do that.

Brushes and so forth are all priced zero because you have to make your calibre selection and then a price appears for you to click.

Jon :)

Well I used it today, following the instructions and it pulled out the gunk as shown on the video, it worked, but I pulled a patch through after to see how clean the bore was, more gunge came out. Another wet patch and another pass did the job followed by a dry

I would say that they are effective, but not quite as Remington would like us to believe, what it will do is cut down the number of patches used, in the case of my Remy 700 22-250 it did by 70%

So it did save time on cleaning and cut the cost of patches

My overall view is

Ease of use 10
results 7+
Value for money 8
Buy another yes

Final point, just have a cloth to catch the gunge because it will be messy, unlike the patch which soaks up the muck.

Thank you all very much for those posts and reviews; I am delighted to hear that you're getting what you want.

The Rem Bore Squeeg-Es: Yes, I'd agree that they cut down the number of patches rather than eliminate them. That's why I've 'calmed down' the descriptive text on my site.

A suggested procedure
The squeegees will probably work at their optimum when the barrel is warm; no hotter than 75 C / 180 F and the bore has been scrubbed with something like Sweet's 762 bore cleaner and a good quality nylon bore brush. You can use a hairdryer to warm the barrel a bit, but keep a close eye on the temp at all times. Run it through with the squeegee and then repeat.
