I have only been reloading since 2015 but: -

My heartfelt belief is that one cannot beat the confidence in a well set up balance scale, combined with a web-zoom camera.

Consistency of load is what one is aiming for. The actual weight of the charge is merely academic (within reasonable/safe bounds, of course)

My old 5.O.5 scales, combined with 1066's web-zoom camera will detect a single kernel of Vit N140

I use a Hornady auto charge and calibrate before reloading with the weights supplied but never with another set of scales.
