I went to Bisley at the weekend shooting with our club, we had a couple of benches between 12 of us.
As we arrived quite early we were one of the first on the range, got set up gave a quick safety brief and started shooting, the bench next to us was vacant at the time.
Some 20 minutes later 4 guys arrived lay their gear down behind the firing line and set up their rifle, on chatting to one of them I could not help noticing that they were opening boxes of Lapua ammo.
After some general chit chat I found out that they did not reload and take the empties back and throw them in the recycle bin, OH SHOCK AND HORROR that all that quality once fired brass was to be thrown away!!!
I asked that instead of dumping it would they sell it to me, I was told that I could have as much as I wanted, then the guy went to his car came back with a large bucket full and gave it to me no charge.
On arrival home, I set about unloading the car of guns and equipment and brass, lots of brass, on counting they had given me over 1700 once fired Lapua 223rem brass there was also 200 308win brass.
It has taken nearly 4 days to process it, wash polish decap and resize.
If the gent reads this, a big thank you, all my old brass has gone to the club brass recycle tub.
