A few years ago whilst being taught to re load by Robbie, my frustration got the better of me. All that money for sometimes irregularity!
As always I'm ears and eyes open-mouth shut.
But I do like to advance machinery with simplicity :)

I've had a straw 'insert' in my Chargemaster for about four years now. That alone has increased accuracy and speed for me..

Yeah, I'm living with a McDonald's straw in my Chargemaster too. I do like the more elegant and permanent fix that the brass inserts offer.

David at the Shooting Shed does special aluminium inserts for this machine and they help a lot. He even kindly made me one for my Lyman Gen 5 - again, a big improvement, especially with spherical powders which tend to spill out like water at the slightest provocation.

Hi i'm a lowly newbie!
I like the mod to the Charge master, i presume you can get single kernels dropping with that straw design?
How far up the tube does the straw go? I'm wondering as the straw will have a lip for the powder kernels to overcome. Did/does it cause you any problems?
Cheers

I find that if I push the straw back into the chamber where the powder feeds into the tube I can adjust volume the powder flow through the tube/straw. I reduced the chamber opening by 1/3 or so. It's a trial and error approach. Once the powder flow it's less likely that the unit will over shoot you weight set point.
