SxS problems

Postby LockStock87 » Sat Aug 16, 2014 4:10 pm

Hi, I've just bought a cheap old Spanish sxs. Tried it before I bought it and it felt really comfortable, felt tight and no operational issues, only problem was a mis-fire on the right barrel (front trigger), primer struck but cartridge didn't go off, put it down to a duff primer on a cheap cartridge. Put a few more through it and no more problems...

Anyway, took it over clay ground on the way home and it started double-firing (while pulling rear trigger first, didn't try front trigger first) so I stopped shooting it and I've noticed now that the front trigger fires with the safety engaged (!)

Spoke to the guy I got it off who was really helpful and said to bring it back for a repair/refund.

Just wondering if anyone can diagnose these problems? Are they related? Many thanks

Let it be someone's else's problem and buy a decent gun. A quality gun is a cheaper purchase in the long run. 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)
