Yes you can however it's not recommended in full choke gun. A modified choke seem to be optimal. A full choke tends to flatten the pellets more and your group will tend to open up more due to the deformation. It's not at all recommended for a extra full choked barrel. Double O is really an up close and personal load. There are only 12 pellets in a standard load and a result there tends to be missed areas in the pattern at any distance. It works well in the 25 yard range. It comes into it own as a police load or as a deer load in heavily brushy/wooded areas. During WWI US soldiers never cared for OO's on the open battle field and they were thought to be useless however they like them for in in close action during the trench raids. The OO's are popular in the southern area's of the US for deer hunting. In New England neatly everyone uses slugs. New England hunter's feel that it easier to gut shoot a deer with a stray pellet and taint the meat where that's not an issue with slugs.
