Bought a Hatsan Escort at the Midland Game Fair about three years ago. Cost me £200.00 secondhand. Always shoots, comfortable to use, came with four extra chokes. They get a knocking on some forums but mine has never let me down. Patterns well too..
Have any of you got a Hatsan Escort Semi Auto or any views on them?
Will be used for pigeon, clay and practical shotgun.
I can purchase a new one for around £500 with a 3yr warranty.
Currently don’t own a shot gun and need to research further on them.
Looked on you tube and they seem to have a good rep and also seem reliable.
Will also be looking for a over and under in the next few month for clay and game.
Any advice would be welcome.
If you're going to use an auto for practical shotgun,a 3 shot will be as much use as a catapult. You'll need a high capacity mag tube for at least 8 shells (mine is a Remington 1187) and it will need to be on your FAC and as such you'll not get a clay pigeon condition for it.as far as O&U's go,I have two 525's and a Zolli columbus gold with the Zolli being my absolute favourite.

Most reviews I’ve read say they all think it’s a great piece of kit for the price Tommo

Seems like it all comes down to personal preference Jack, some say they like and some dont. Speaking to my Wifes uncle at New Year and he’s just scrapped his and bought a Benelli and loves it. Choices, choices?? Do I save that bit extra? Certainly something to consider?
