I have a Nikko Stirling Gold Crown for many years now this one is 4-12 x 40mm objective lense , one of the best scopes I have , I also have 3-9 illuminated reticule , not a GC , but still a very good scope .

There are many different models of the GC , there is also the Silver and Platinum models I dont think you can go wrong with any of them . Dave

Same here. I use one on my FAC Axsor, and it's a superb piece of hunting kit - crystal clear and a bargain at the price they ask.

Nice piece of kit.

I liked the majority of Nikko scopes until the Nighteater came along. As far as I'm concerned the Nikko Gold Crown Airking is a gem of a scope for those on a budget and most of the older Gold and Silver Crowns have been good too. At current count I have five Nikkos ranging in value from fifty quid to several hundred. I'll happily acknowledge that they aren't necessarily the last word in optical quality at their various price points but for some reason I haven't yet got to the bottom of they just seem to work for me. I keep trying alternatives and until the arrival of a Weaver Tactical I've always ended up going back. On my HFT rig I've actually gone back to a 10x42 Nikko Sniper from a Leupold MK4! ;)
