Hi Steve, Welcome to the Forum, Just my luck, I am up in Central Scotland or I would have jumped at the offer, I am 44 Ex Hm Forces and have Full BASC insurance etc etc, but trying to get onto land is a bit of a nightmare, even trying to get others to go out with is quite hard as most shooters keep their permissions close to their chest for obvious reasons, but I hope you get someone reliable to buddy you. well,me and steve had a walk this morning,a bit later than steve wanted to because i couldn`t make it any earlier.
we had a 10 min chat with one of the landowners who pointed us to some more land that was new to steve.
we saw masses of evidence of rabbit activity and three or four rabbits but nothing close enough to take on or with a safe line of sight behind it.
loads of partridge, woodies and a few pheasant
in hindsight,i should have taken a shotgun and left steve with the rifle then we would have had all the bases covered
thanks a lot steve,i really enjoyed the walk and we`ll have to do it again soon either on mine or yours :)
cheers mate.

I went out with Steve (shooster) last night, had a good walk in brilliant weather.
The place is teeming with rabbits but mostly they kept out of sight.
To my shame, a rabbit that forgot to keep his head down couldn't be found afterwards, something that hasn't happened to me for a long time. There were two of them having a chat, the one on the left bit the bullet, we then tried to line up on the other one but he disappeared from sight - by which time we weren't as sure as we thought we were about where the first one was - never mind, I'm sure that a fox will be grateful for the free meal...

We also saw a mumjack with a fox right behind it...

Planning to have another go on Sunday afternoon/evening. Many thanks to Steve for an enjoyable evening

Steve did you get my phone message last night? I got chance to go out on one of my patches nearby and saw well over 70 bunnies but couldn't use the rimmy you would have had a field day with the air rifle  . If you have munties and fox on your patch I'll bring the .22-250 next time we go out as well as the rimfires
