Snow

Has anyone else seen this?

http://travel.aol.co.uk/2012/09/30/uk-weather-forecaste-snow-ice-floods-britain-october-autumn/?ncid=webmail9

I'm sceptical though the forecaster never seem to get it right.

Hey I know it's an old saying but look at the berries on the trees.

It's said a bumper crop of berries is nature preparing to feed the birds during a harsh winter and this year the trees can hardly hold their own branches.

I snow plough and sell salt during the winter so am always looking at different ways to forecast the winter so I can prepare. Last year there was hardly any berries on the trees and we hardly had a winter whereas the year before the trees were extremely heavy with berries so there is some truth in it.

Think I'm the only one hoping for snow!!

Here's a "Farmer's Almanac" Weather forecasting trick.

How heavy is the coat on the Wooly Bear Caterpillar, this year.

Heavy = Harsh Winter

I love the snow, particularly pulling BMW X series drivers out of the snow and others with 4WD capability but no clue how/when/where/why to use it :)

Ain't those 4WDers great?

They think they can drive in snow like it's 90deg. F. and sunny.
